On the edge…
As I have stated before (re.: “Classified: SECRET” blog), anyone can be a racist, regardless of color, creed, religion, race or gender. We are now witness to a known racist organization, the New Black Panther Party – in clear violation of federal election laws prohibiting intimidation at public polling places. We can all remember the images of the incident at the Fairmount Avenue polling place in Philadelphia, PA, where two New Black Panther Party representatives stood directly in front of entryway doors in paramilitary gear, wielding a night stick. When asked why they were there – they stated to ensure Barack Obama’s election. What puts this on the edge of absurdity is that these individuals now have complete absolution and the endorsement (for future voter intimidation) from the Obama administration and US Attorney General Eric Holder. Amazing… this is not considered voter intimidation and is fully acceptable to USAG Eric Holder, however, when the question of presenting a valid form of identification at polling places to prevent voter fraud IS considered intimidation. Have we entered the “Twilight Zone”? Can anyone recall the vivid images of armed soldiers at Zimbabwe’s polling places to “ensure” Robert Mugabe’s re-election? Does this mean that our next election cycles we can expect armed neo-nazis, communists, gangs, thugs, and fanatics representing any-and-all lunatic fringe organizations, standing a few feet away from polling place entrances to “ensure the election of their choice”? Can we expect that these activities will be given the same blessing by USAG Eric Holder?
To my recollection, federal voter law violations, voter intimidation and voter fraud have occurred numerous times in our history as a free republic, however these have almost uniformly been prosecuted to the fullest extent or had massive lawsuits settled in the plaintiff’s favor. We have tough federal election laws in place to guarantee one of our most basic privileges – the right to vote – freely, unimpeded and fearlessly! If we lose this most essential tenant of our democracy, we as a nation are lost!
It is time for Eric Holder to resign, he has been appointed for less than a year and his injudicious decisions are causing irreparable harm to America and are creating an untenable fragility to our Rule of Law. I cannot even imagine the damage that he could cause in four years.
